In 1986, Tokai University Space Information Center (TSIC) was established in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. TSIC is a highly automated ground station which receives data from various earth observation satellites with minimum number of operators. TSIC is operated under the international cooperation with space agencies in the world.
