Terra:
It is the other name of the earth observing satellite EOS AM-1 which was launched by NASA in 1999. It aimes to observe comprehensive global scale climate change from approximately 705km above the earth surface everyday with five sensors such as MODIS(a multispectral cross-track scanning radiometer, gorund resolution:250m-1km) and ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer).
Himawai-7:
It is a geostationary meteorological satellite mainly aiming to observe cloud conditions of the earth, and it has been operated as a transport multi purpose satellite series by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (Japan Meteorogical Agency and CivilAviation Bureau). This satellite observes the surface of the earth every 1 hour (hemishere every 30 min.) with five sensors, including one visible channel (horizontal resolution:1km) and four infrared channels (horizontal resolution:4km) from about 35,800km above the eqator around 145 degree east.
